The Jersey Shore is home to some real gems. Tuckerton Seaport is among these. Here, you will learn all about the maritime traditions from the past through the present through exhibits, demonstrations and hands-on activities. The Seaport also hosts many fun special events perfect for the entire family!
My kids have enjoyed exploring the hands on exhibits. They have scouted for ships, dressed up, talked to decoy carvers, and made crafts. Outside, they have loved walking along the boardwalk exploring the buildings, playing on the playground, and a few holes of mini golf.
One of the buildings to explore in the Seaport is the NJ Surf Museum. The Seaport may show off how the Baymen worked, but this shows you how they played! I hear they even have a new Surf Simulator to check out!
One of the best times to check out the Tuckerton Seaport is during one of their special events. During their festivals, visitors can still enjoy all the Seaport has to offer but with some added fun and entertainment!
The NJ Maritime Heritage Festival is coming up on September 7 & 8, 2013 from 10-5 each day. The festival will be a fun filled weekend featuring music, food, hands-on activities, demonstrations, tours, and an Antique Classic Boat Show. On Saturday, September 7, be sure to bring the kids for the Radio Disney show from 2-4pm! . The Radio Disney AM Road Crew will host a fun interactive show the whole family will enjoy. There will be music, games, prizes and the first 100 guest to check in to the Radio Disney booth will receive some fun Radio Disney Gear!
Everyone can come out and enjoy the festival. The Seaport Admission Fees are reasonable at $8 per adult, $5 per kid. However, getting in for free is even more fun!
I am happy to share that I have Four Family 4 Packs to share with my readers to the upcoming NJ Maritime Heritage Festival on September 7 & 8, 2013.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS, E, SHANA, LINDY AND MARIA!
