Liberty Science Center invited us to be their guests to see their great new exhibits. Finding time that all 5 of us are available for a fun day out is sometimes tricky, but as luck would have it, the kids had off of school for Columbus Day and my husband had taken the day off work. We hadn’t been to Liberty Science Center in a few years, when the kids were much younger, so we were really looking forward to checking them out again!
One of the best things about Liberty Science Center is it presents science to kids in an easy to understand manner that they can get hands on with. There are many different areas to explore where kids can build their own skyscraper, become scientists while learning about the watershed, perform surgery, watch special presentations, and so much more. There are also several IMAX films to enjoy.
Liberty Science Center brings in fun new exhibits a few times a year. Right now, young kids will love the Bob the Builder™ –Project: Build It Traveling Exhibition here until April 27, 2014. This is definitely geared towards the younger set so we didn’t spend any time here other than popping in to see what it entailed. The little ones will LOVE climbing on all of Bob the Builder’s friends, toting blocks around in a wheelbarrow, building with blocks, and generally just having fun playing.
Another great traveling exhibit is Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame which will be at Liberty Science Center through March 2, 2014. This exhibit has 2 separate parts. The Training Camp is a hands on area where guests can participate in game day training exercises such as the long jump, high jump, throwing and kicking. My kids had a blast exploring this area and testing their skills. The second part of the exhibit was a glimpse into the Pro Football Hall of Fame featuring more than 200 items on display. My daughter and I weren’t as thrilled with this part of the exhibit being that we aren’t big football fans however, my boys and my husband really enjoyed it. The best part? Seeing my husband act like a kid when he laid eyes on the Vince Lombardi Trophy. As he said to me, “You’ll never get this close to the Vince Lombardi Trophy again in your life!”

Now it is your turn to visit! One lucky reader is going to win two exhibition passes to use by December 31, 2014.
