On my recent trip to Wildwood, I was introduced to something new. Something unique. Something that I absolutely loved. It is called [artBOX]. What is artBOX you ask? It is an artists colony made of re-purposed shipping containers and you can find it right on Adventure Pier along the boardwalk.
I loved meeting the artists, talking to them about their craft and watching them work. You will find both visual and musical artists. Among them, School of Rock which will feature musical performances throughout the summer, a speed painter, a glass blower, a multi-media artist, and more. Their work is beautiful and watching them do their work is an amazing experience.
I loved browsing each shop. Each artist and their shop has their own personality and specialty. The blown glass jewelry was among my favorites. I also found many paintings that if I had the perfect place for them, I would have gladly brought them home.
My favorite finds made it home with me. I fell in love with the intricate work and delicacy of this blown glass seashell necklace. It is a perfect addition to my summer wardrobe. And while there are plenty of tacky t-shirt shops along the boardwalk, we were happy to find some tasteful ones in the Exit Zero Museum Shop. This is the one my son chose.
