Welcome to Life in the BAT Cave! I’m Beth, a thirty-something NJ mom to 3 kids. I traded in my stethoscope as an RN to stay at home and raise my kids. I don’t believe too much in the cooking and cleaning side of staying home and keeping house. I’m always on the hunt for the laundry fairy and any other fairy that will take care of my domestic life. I’m very active in volunteering in my community and can be found serving many roles including Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader, team mom, class mom and PTO board member. In my spare time (ha!) I love to travel, read, scrapbook and watch trashy reality TV. If you ever want to get on my good side just bring me chocolate. Chocolate makes me happy.
Here in the BAT Cave you can follow stories of my life and my parenting adventures, some of our favorite travel spots and some reviews mixed in for good measure. Wondering how my blog got its name? BAT are my initials, well, my maiden initials anyway. My BAT Cave is tucked away in a family neighborhood at the Jersey Shore.

Find Me At:
When time permits, I like to get out of the house and explore our surroundings with my family. Sometimes we stay in our own back yard and other times we hit the road for a full –fledged trip. This led me to my amazing position of Destination Guroo (a.k.a Regional Editor) for PA, NJ, DE for Trekaroo, a website dedicated to traveling with families.
